ELEARNING EXCELLENCE IN CULTURE

Thursday, September 18th, 2014

Anaheim, CA – Learning! 100 recognized Oak Grove’s work the Department of Veteran’s Affairs at the Enterprise Learning! Conference 2014.

At the Learning 100! awards, Larry Burney, Department of Veteran’s Affairs Office of Disability and Medical Assessment (DMA), Carole Bagley of VA’s Employee Education System (EES), and Oak Grove’s Senior Instructional Designer, Patty Myers accepted an award for e-Learning excellence in the category of culture.

EES collaborated with Oak Grove Technologies, and subject matter experts (medical staff, attorneys, administrators) from the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Veteran Benefits Administration (VBA) and Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA) to design and develop 19 hour-long multimedia Web-based courses for the Office of Disability and Medical Assessment (DMA). The goal of this extended effort was to produce a series of hour-long, accredited courses that were up-to-date, accurate, and engaging for two curriculums. DMA certification courses are required curriculum for all VA disability examiners, while DMA training courses serve as a resource for clinicians who contribute to the compensation and pension process for Veterans and Servicemembers by providing examinations and clinical data to support fair adjudication of Veteran’s and Servicemember’s compensation claims. Click here to read more about the DMA series.

The Elearning! Media Group announced the Learning! 100 top learning organizations for 2014 at the Annual Learning! 100 Awards Dinner & Reception held on August 25th at the Hilton at the Anaheim Convention Center. The awards program is hosted by Elearning! and Government Elearning! magazines, and honors the top global 100 learning organizations across the private and public sectors.
