OAK GROVE TECHNOLOGIES SPONSORS HEROES TO HOMETOWNS 2ND ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC
Thursday, October 01st, 2009
Andrews Air Force Base, MD – Oak Grove Technologies announced today they are sponsoring the Heroes to Hometowns (H2H) 2nd Annual Golf Classic to benefit The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund. Today’s tournament will be held at The Courses at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.
The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund was established to provide educational support to military children who have lost a loved one in the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Last year’s golf tournament generated $15,000 for this Scholarship Fund. The tournament also serves as a great networking opportunity for veterans and representatives from veteran owned businesses.
“Any time we see an opportunity to support the families of veterans defending our Country, Oak Grove is more than willing to contribute in some way, shape or form,” said Mark Gross, President and CEO of Oak Grove. “It means a lot to the company personally,” Gross continued, “and the American Legion is doing a fine thing here. We’re honored to be sponsoring another H2H event.”
