Friday, June 06th, 2014
Raleigh, NC – Oak Grove participated in the 2014 North Carolina Federal Advanced Technologies Review, focused on technology requirements of today’s military and advancements being made by industry.
Rusty Nance, Director of Business Development, spoke on the Human/ Social Science/ Cultural & Behavioral Dynamics Forum explaining Oak Grove’s recent efforts to support the military with exercises demonstrating strategic decision making, tactical warfighter training, and mission rehearsal by developing cross-cultural and socio-cultural skills..
He also detailed Oak Grove’s recent initiative to “blend” the concepts of language proficiency with regional expertise and cultural awareness as they apply to military mission accomplishment when they have a quantifiable measure of effectiveness to the operator’s cultural-linguistic skill level.
“The forum provided an excellent opportunity to share what we’re doing to help build better operators,” Nance said. He added, “The Q&A portion as well as the tradeshow booth also allowed us to hear direct feedback from the military representatives as well as other industry leaders on how our programs can be utilized and improved.”
The North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) hosts this event in order to connect representatives from business, academia, and the military through forums that encourage an exchange of ideas along with networking among like-minded individuals.
