Atlanta, GA – Oak Grove is pleased to announce it will present on behalf of the ASVAB Career Exploration Program at the National Career Development Association (NCDA) Conference.
Oak Grove’s Jan Bayer and Kate McLean will lead a roundtable discussion entitled Motivate to Create: Seeing STEM in the Everyday. The presentation will focus on activities geared toward helping young people relate to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Mrs. Bayer and Ms. McLean will also review the strategy Oak Grove has used to integrate STEM careers and activities into the ASVAB Career Exploration Program website.
“We are looking forward to a lively discussion focused on ways counselors can jump start students’ interest in STEM education and careers. We’re hoping our interactive activities will inspire counselors and students to think creatively about STEM,” said Dr. Jan Bayer, I/O Psychologist.
Oak Grove’s roundtable session will take place from 10:30-11:40am, Friday, June 22, 2012.
The NCDA Conference is an annual event which encourages idea sharing between career practitioners and educators from around the world.
