Raleigh, NC - April 19, 2013 marked 10 years of successful business for Oak Grove Technologies and its founder, Mark Gross.
Since its inception in 2003, Oak Grove has experienced exceptional growth from its modest beginnings as an IT services provider. The company has since graduated from a small business with only four employees to a mid-sized company, employing people worldwide. Today, Oak Grove is recognized as a leader in the services industry; Offering capabilities in training, learning solutions, strategic communications, cross-cultural communications, intelligence and IT. Oak Grove is acknowledged as a world-class training provider in a fiercely competitive marketplace.
Along the way, Oak Grove has risen to meet the challenges of insourcing and sequestration, and has proven itself to be a lasting entity in the global marketplace. Oak Grove has assembled a highly skilled and multifaceted workforce with diverse talents that meet the demands of ever-changing government, military, and commercial ventures.
Oak Grove’s talented staff continues to support Veterans by developing learning solutions to increase the efficiency of the Department of Veterans Affairs as they address many challenges in the provision of healthcare and claims processing. Oak Grove develops state-of-the-art simulation and modeling tools that aid the US Army Corps of Engineers, Readiness Support Center emergency management efforts. Oak Grove has also established a 160-acre facility that houses both tactical and cultural training sites available to DOD, civilian, and law enforcement training activities in addition to Special Operations Forces.
To commemorate its successes, Oak Grove and its employees will celebrate the 10th anniversary on July 25th in Washington, D.C.
Having collected several awards, Oak Grove solidified a reputation for excellence in the services industry. In 2012, Oak Grove’s Cultural Training support was recognized as a “best practice” by the U.S. Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). Oak Grove’s Learning Solutions team was awarded the Most Creative Idea award in 2010 for its entry, “In Sue Lin’s World,” in the DiabetesMine™ Design Challenge.
In 2009, Oak Grove ranked on Inc.’s list of Top 100 Government Service Companies as well as Triangle Business Journal Fast 50 list. Oak Grove experienced tremendous success in 2008 and 2009. Mark was recognized as the 2008 Southeast Region and North Carolina Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year. As 2008 neared its end, the North Carolina Technology Association named Oak Grove Mid-sized Company of the Year. In 2007, Oak Grove was the first SDVOSB to receive the prestigious U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Nunn-Perry Award for Mentor-Protégé Excellence. Oak Grove also received the Department of Defense SDVOSB Achievement Award in 2007.
