BASIC HANDGUN

This course is for the individual who is unfamiliar with firearms procedures or who needs to develop safe firearm-handling skills and a solid foundation of basic shooting skills. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of shooting and how they apply to accuracy. Through demonstration and practice, participants will learn the movement for drawing the firearm from the holster to presentation. From these basic skills, the training will progress into more challenging shooting drills that will reinforce fundamentals while providing lessons that can be practiced to maintain skills. Students will also learn how to identify and correct malfunctions and efficiently reload their firearm.

ADVANCED HANDGUN

This is not a basic handgun fundamentals class. Since this course will focus on the effective deployment of a handgun in a stressful, uncertain tactical environment, the student must have mastered basic handgun handling skills prior to attending this challenging class. The student can expect to be exposed to rapid, speed shooting concepts during this intensive course and will be provided with the foundation necessary to prevail in a deadly force encounter. Although the instructional topics primarily address tactical response situations and instinctive shooting, the specific course content can be modified to the ordering agency’s requirements. With Active Shooter and Terrorist incidents occurring with an alarming frequency, it is essential that a law enforcement officer have a firm grasp of advanced rifle marksmanship techniques. This challenging and demanding course will provide the student with the advanced M4 carbine/AR15 rifle skills necessary to prevail in a rapidly deteriorating tactical environment. The student must have a solid foundation concerning basic M4/AR15 rifle marksmanship fundamentals prior to attending this class. ACTIVE SHOOTER COUNTER ASSAULT COURSE

This course begins with active shooter response training, and then progresses onto more advanced tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) required to counter a “Mumbai-Style” terrorist assault threat. The course is oriented towards law enforcement officers who learn to leverage SWAT and small unit military tactics based on the rapid deployment Contact Team concept to stop violent deadly behavior. OFFICER SAFETY AND SURVIVAL

This interactive course is designed to provide the attendees with the skill sets required when confronted with a critical situation. Students will be exercised in tactical responses when executing high risk arrest and the techniques for planning and conducting these arrests. This class incorporates the slow/methodical means of searching and arresting violent criminals. SNIPER/OBSERVER- BASIC

The modern law enforcement tactical team has evolved into a specialized, professional entity entrusted to resolve a myriad of complicated tactical situations. Integral to the effectiveness of any tactical team is the incorporation of a trained Sniper/Observer team, capable of accurate reporting and accomplished in delivering long range, precision fire at positively identified targets. This class will emphasize the fundamentals of precision rifle marksmanship, along with basic sniper tradecraft by using classroom and firearms range instruction and practical exercise application. Since law enforcement tactical teams are required to address increasingly complicated situations in a variety of locations and weather conditions, it is critical that the law enforcement Sniper/Observer be armed with the necessary skills to effectively resolve the challenges posed by these scenarios. This challenging and physically demanding course will expose the student to the advanced sniper filed craft and precision rifle shooting techniques that must be mastered by the law enforcement Sniper/Observer. CRISIS HOSTAGE NEGOTIATION-BASIC

This introductory course addresses the fundamental needs of a successful crisis negotiator. This course will prepare you to work as part of a coordinated negotiation team and handle a variety of crisis situations including hostage takers, barricaded subjects, and potential suicide victims. You will learn the different phases of the negotiation process, from the introduction to the surrender, and specific strategies and techniques to be used along the way. We will discuss when negotiation may not be the best solution, what items are negotiable and non-negotiable, and what to do in non-response situations. The management of intelligence and information is a critical aspect of mitigating any law enforcement threat and you will learn specific techniques for managing the flow of information during a crisis. You will also gain a basic understanding of the psychological motivations of persons in crisis and learn to recognize the characteristics of emotionally disturbed persons. You will learn about the personality disorders which are most commonly encountered during a crisis incident as well as strategies for affecting a positive outcome. EMERGENCY VEHICLE OPERATIONS-BASIC

This basic emergency operations course focuses on the ability to systematically control the position and speed of the vehicle in a smooth and safe fashion. The course enhances skills learned in existing driver education courses or through years of driving experience to coordinate vehicle handling skills with mental concentration, anticipation and planning. The student learns about vehicle dynamics and the importance of understanding “vehicle language”. The training day includes classroom instruction, but the primary focus is placed on in-vehicle practical application. Skills discussed in the classroom are applied on the track using various drills designed to have the student experience multiple weight transfers, corrective skid control measures and use of multiple traction environments.

EMERGENCY VEHICLE OPERATIONS-ADVANCED

This course is designed for those individuals who are vulnerable and under the threat of a terrorist or organized criminal attack while in transit. The training emphasizes the proactive approach to advanced emergency vehicle driving. The advanced emergency vehicle operations course is designed to improve the car control skills of those who are in a position to drive out of an attack or understand the clues of an attack. This is accomplished through realistic exercises such as straight-line emergency (Threshold) braking, braking-in-turns, serpentine, skid pad, swerve-to-avoid, and off-road recoveries. The student will also learn about the use of focusing your eyes on where you want the vehicle to go. Vehicle control skills will be applied to technical driving which requires the student to accurately read and negotiate a road way at elevated speeds. It will teach the driver how to use the vehicle as a means of escape or as a weapon for survival. Students will learn the use of emergency backing, “Y” and “J” turns, precision intervention technique (PIT), barricade breaching (RAM), driver down (passenger side driving) and how to recognize an attack. Students will learn what a car is capable of and most importantly, their own limits. We will emphasize the importance of being mentally prepared in order to be able to react. The training is brought together through realistic situational exercises where the student comes under different types of attacks and is challenged to react.

This two week course takes the participants to the highest level of tactics, techniques and procedures of making a successful entry to save a hostage. Building on the skills learned in the basic course, participants will understand the all the principles of speed, surprise and violence of action. Incorporating various entry methods and planning considerations will round out this advanced course. A full mission profile will be executed prior to the end of the course to put all aspects together.

This course covers the full range of basic principles of executive protection, providing the future protective agent a solid operational foundation. IMPROVISED EXPLOSIVE DEVICES (IED)/COUNTER IMPROVISED EXPLOSIVE DEVICES

This course can be tailored to provide new and/or advanced technical training to tactical responders assigned to prevent, respond and/or mitigate terrorist or criminal threats. These courses introduce and/or refresh participants’ knowledge, skills and abilities. Pre-requisites are usually established in order to provide advanced technical training for federal, military, and state and local professionals currently serving in Law Enforcement, Special Operations/Special Warfare, and Private Security roles. These courses are generally measured with a Pre and Post Knowledge Assessment to ensure the correct level of instruction is given to the participants. Based on the level of participant’s knowledge, this course will be one week to six weeks in length. This course can be tailored to customer’s request. This course starts by defining the IED and underlining the IED threat in respect to the participants’/organization’s daily environment. Participants are exposed to IED components and effects. Realistic IED training aids are utilized throughout this course in order to enhance the learning experience. Participants are educated on a brief historical background on terrorists’ threats and trends which leads into how soft targets may be ‘hardened’. The course will define a bomb technician who is capable of recognizing and defeating basic to advanced IED’s.

TACTICAL BREACHING

Students learn to successfully penetrate a structure within a crisis area. It exploits forced entry techniques, from basic mechanical entry to application of the minimal amount of explosives required to successfully penetrate the crisis target. The course teaches technical application of explosive effects, overpressure, and safety and hazards avoidance strategies associated with dynamic entry techniques. Students gain a thorough understanding of techniques and theories learned in the classroom through practical field exercises.
